Disabled Students Allowance
Higher Education students with a Specific Learning Difficulty such as dyslexia may be eligible for funding via the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA). These grants can help pay for specialist tuition and equipment needed for studying, and are available for full- and part-time undergraduate and post-graduate courses.
In order to apply for DSA funding, a full diagnostic assessment report needs to be sent in with form DSA1. Once your application is processed, if you qualify for funding, a Needs Assessment will take place to establish the level of finance and support available to you.
You do not need to wait until a University place has been offered - you can apply at the same time as applying for University.
